JAKARTA, 27 September 2019 --Today, the Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) marks a key milestone of the integration process of Merck Consumer Health into its P&G personal health care business with the inauguration of the new office’s space to welcome the new P&G employees in Indonesia. The acquisition of Merck Consumer Health announced in 2018 is one of the biggest in P&G 180 year’s history and improves P&G’s OTC geographic scale, brand portfolio and category footprint in the vast majority of the world’s top 15 OTC markets including Indonesia. The combined businesses, capabilities and talent of the new Health Care unit leaves P&G on a great position to deliver on its mission to be a force for good and force for growth to this key business in Indonesia.
In the year of the 30th anniversary since P&G’s started its operations in Indonesia, the inauguration of the new office marks a key milestone in integration process between P&G and the Merck Consumer’s health division. P&G is set to embark in the personal healthcare market with a broader portfolio of leading brands in key areas including Nerve health (Neurobion), Blood Health (Sangobion), Topical Nasal decongestants (Iliadin) and Cough-cold remedies (Vicks). P&G is committed to fully leverage its global portfolio in Indonesia which will place P&G in a leading position into the Indonesian OTC space.

The new office space welcomes the new P&G employees to join the P&G Indonesia Family and has been specially designed to offer employees a conducive environment for collaboration and networking. The new space has also been built keeping sustainability in mind reflecting P&G’s commitment to environmental sustainability starting with operations and employee sustainable practices.

P&G has been in Indonesia for 30 years and has established strong presence with its General Offices and manufacturing facilities and distribution centers in Karawang plan. To-date investment in Indonesia has reached up to half a billion dollars and P&G is a proud employer of more than 700 employees, largely Indonesians, with thousands more in the supply chain. P&G has also been active in community impact programs such as P&G Children Safety Drinking Water (CSDW) program providing 200MM of clean waters across Indonesia, Making a House a Home program with - Habitat for Humanity, through the #WeSeeEqual Project both in West Jawa, P&G Global Disaster Relief in Palu, Donggala and Lombok with its NGO partners like World Vision Indonesia, Child fund, Water Mission and Habitat for Humanity and in the rehabilitation efforts in the same areas with the P&G 30th Anniversary Charity Concert held recently in July 2019.
