Food ingredients Asia (Fi Asia) is coming back to Indonesia

Jakarta, 27 September 2018 – The number one food and beverages trade show, Food ingredients (Fi) Asia 2018, will take place on 3-5 October at JIEXpo Kemayoran, Indonesia. This event is a platform for thousands of food and beverages suppliers and buyers, as well as to showcase innovation, meet potential partner, observe Asian market, and obtain latest information from food and beverages industry.

Data from Ministry of Industry of The Republic of Indonesia shows that food and beverages industry growth has reached 8.67% in the 2nd quarter of 2018, which surpass national economy growth of 5.27%. Industry 4.0 implementation has also believed will increase national processed food and beverages export to four times higher, with this year target amount if USD 12.65 billion and predicted to USD 50 billion in 2025. Based on this promising potential and high target in food and beverages industry, it is a good opportunity for food and beverages ingredients industry to have a platform which allows all industry players able to optimize Indonesia’s ingredients and become more competitive in global market.

With massive natural resources and good research, Indonesia has potentials to strengthen its competitiveness in regional and global market. We support Fi Asia which has access to food and beverages ingredients innovation and technology from around the world, and becoming the main reference for industry professionals.

“This year, South East Asian Food and Agricultural Science and Technology  (SEAFAST) Center together with Indonesia Association of Food Technology (PATPI) and Department of Food Science and Technology, Bogor Agricultural University organize an international conference entitiled ‘Science-based Ingredients: The Future for Food in Asia’. This conference will explain how innovations and developments in food technology, processing and ingredients continue indefinitely to fulfill demands of the ever-growing global population seeking food safety and nutritional security,” added Dr. Puspo Edi Giriwono.
