#CiptakanPengalaman Inspires Independent Travelers to Obtain Authentic Local Experiences

Jakarta, INDONESIA, 12 February 2016 – Recently Visa launched #CiptakanPengalaman campaign in Indonesia, a localized version of a global #notatourist campaign by Visa. This campaign aims to inspire Indonesian travelers in exploring new places at chosen destinations, beyond that of regular tourist sites, thus creating a new, unique and authentic experience.
In conjunction with Visa Global Travel Intention Study 2015 , most Indonesians (57 percent) are independent travelers, who arrange the trips by themselves. For these independent travelers, traveling means maximizing and seizing spontaneous opportunities at destination, to get the best experience out of it
Ellyana Fuad, President Director PT Visa Worldwide Indonesia said: “More independent Indonesian travelers are looking for authentic local experiences when traveling out of the country.”
The study also found that in the booking stage, 73 percent of Indonesian travelers prefer using payment cards due to perception that cards are better way to pay (71%), preference (70%), and cards give better value (69%).
“As a leader of global payment technology, we will continue to grow and excel in our services to wide access and acceptance at merchants and ATMs, and also convenience and security that liberates travelers to relax more and free to explore everywhere,” said Ellyana Fuad.
#CiptakanPengalaman campaign is hoped to provide convenience for Indonesian travelers who are searching to explore more information when traveling.
