ASIAN PAPER JAKARTA 2015 : The Leading Event in Asia for the Global Pulp, Paper and Board Industry Officially Opens in Jakarta

JAKARTA, April 28, 2015 – The Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia represented by the Director General of Agro-Industry, Ir Panggah Susanto, MM will officially open the first edition of Asia’s leading paper industry exhibition, ASIAN PAPER JAKARTA 2015 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran. Organised by UBM Asia, the 13th edition of Asian Paper is one of the largest leading exhibitions in Asia for the pulp, paper and board industry. Asian Paper Jakarta 2015 runs from April 28-30.

The highly anticipated event features 70 international companies from 14 countries, including a national pavilion from France. The French Ambassador, H.E Corinne BREUZE will be attending the event as a VIP. Showcasing the full spectrum of the supply chain from raw materials, machines, chemicals, equipment to finished products, Asian Paper Jakarta 2015 brings together a formidable gathering of experts and professionals from the pulp, paper and board industry.

Created specifically to facilitate high level networking during the show, Asian Paper’s Hosted Buyer Programme is an effective platform bringing together key regional buyers and decision makers from the pulp, paper & board industry. This year, the show will host a sizable delegation of top management decision makers from pulp, paper and tissue mills from Myanmar. In addition, over 150 VIP buyers are expected to visit the event. Similar to the hosted buyers, these invited VIP buyers are decision makers from pulp and paper mills in Indonesia.

Aimed at attracting quality trade buyers to the show, a complimentary Business Matching Programme will be held throughout the event. This programme pairs buyers with exhibitors, based on their stated interest, to interact and network during Asian Paper’s inaugurating exhibition in Jakarta.

Held in conjunction with the Asian Paper exhibition, the New Applied Technology (NAT) Conference extensively covers new technologies in the pulp, paper and board industry. The conference has thirteen tracks under the theme: ‘Getting more with less – new technology is the key’. In addition, a two-hour complimentary workshop on “The Impact of Nanotechnology on Paper Technology” will be conducted by Dr. Gabor Hornyak, Director for the Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.
